Last October I turned 30, to celebrate the occasion we had a big party at the Chelston Manor which is a fantastically quirky pub in Torquay. We organised a 1920’s Gatsby birthday party.

Today I thought I would share some images from the night as the Gatsby party theme seems to be quite popular at the moment.

The Party Invites

The party invites were kindly provided by Stress Free Print and I made my own gold glittery envelopes.

The Gatsby Decor

We had great fun decorating the room. To add a personal touch to the decorating Hello Party kindly provided me with personalised banners to place around the room.

A company called Party Packs kindly provided all of the other decorations including the balloons, the pom poms and the gold door hangers.

Photo Props

Just for a bit of fun I filled an old vintage suitcase with some photo props. This is when the kiddies fancy dress box comes in handy. I also got a few extra bits from the pound shop like the luxury short wig, the manly moustaches and the feather boas.

The Cake

My very talented friend made the cake for me. Thank you Sam!

The Food

The food was provided by the Chelston Manor. We just asked for a buffet with a selection of different goodies. It was one of the best buffets I have ever seen and the food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

In all it was a very enjoyable evening even though I did pay for it for about a week after!
