Southern France is the perfect spot for a family break. It takes under two hours to fly from London to Nice, the weather is beautiful in the summer months and there are plenty of fun activities to keep the entire family busy when holidaying.
Here are five of the best things to do on your holiday to the South of France:
Wild swimming is perfect for an adventurous family and if you head to the hills behind Nice, you’ll find a stunning series of gorges and aquamarine pools known as Clue d’Aiglun. You can swim into and explore deep in the caves and rock passages, or enjoy the turquoise pools and waterfalls. What better way to cool down from the heat of the Provence summer heat?

Fancy adding some adventure and water sports to your family holiday? People of all ages can try their hand at kayaking in the Languedoc region thanks to its gentle and shallow waters.
Whilst floating down the river, you can spot the sandy beaches, spectacular cliffs and impressive rock formations that the gorgeous south of France has to offer. There’s also the chance for canoeing and water rafting to add a bit of variety to your family beach holiday!

Exploring the Wildlife
Nature-lovers will adore the wildlife spotting in the Reserve Africaine de Sigean, which is one of the oldest nature parks in Europe. Home to everything from alligators to warthogs, you can spend a full day there with the family learning about the animals and attending the daily events, such as feeding the Squirrel monkeys. You can even book a safari day both by car and on foot… The whole family will be entertained at this wildlife park.
Your choice of accommodation can be fun for all the family too. How about a camping holiday with shops, restaurants, zip wires, water parks and BBQs? It sounds too good to be true but Eurocamp have holiday parcs in the South of France with lodges, cabins and holiday homes that are close to all the fun activities the region has to offer!
With gorgeous cities like Nice, Marseilles, Bordeaux and Toulouse, you’ll be spoilt for places to go and things to do on your holiday to the south of France. You could go back time and time again and there would still be enough to do to entertain the whole family!
