Today the sun came out for the first time in what feels like ages so we decided to make the most of it and head up onto Dartmoor.
We started off at Pixieland…
The kiddies really enjoy having their pictures taken amongst the pixies and gnomes…
We then went back down the hill towards Dartmeet where we did a bit of ‘fishing’ and had our pack lunch…
We did all of this today and it didn’t cost us a penny (well except for a bit of petrol). It was a perfect thrifty day out in Devon.
It doesn’t seem to matter how many times I go up to Dartmoor I am still amazed everytime about just how beautiful it is up there. We are very lucky to live so close.
One of our few entire family photos is of us at the pixie place with our red hats on! Glad you had a good day, I miss not living in that part of the country any more!
lol that’s brilliant. Bet it’s a great photo. We love living down here, don’t think we’d ever move away now 🙂
LOVE pixieland…what cute hats. Looks like they had a fab day…such beautiful photos…could not help but notice you captured that tree growing in the stream…awesome stuff nature has to offer us and for free at that!
It really is beautiful here and there is still so much that we haven’t yet discovered. Dartmoor is definitiely my favoutire place 🙂
Yay – the second peacock in full feather. A sure sign of spring on it’s way 🙂
At last! Really looking forward to the Summer this year, had enough of the cold and wet now 🙂
Looks like a magical place! Love the pictures, and I’m sure it was an absolutely perfect day 🙂 #CountryKids
It was a great day thanks the kiddies slept well that night lol 🙂
Pixieland looks a hoot with all its mischievous gnomes! Looks like you had a gorgeous day out. #countrykids
It’s great fun there, the kiddies love it 🙂
Such a picturesque place to explore and as you say lots to see and do and it only cost the petrol and your packed lunch – a great day out. Thanks for linking up and sharing your lovely photos with Country Kids.
That’s what we love the most about living down here; there are so many things that you can do for free! Thanks for hosting #CountryKids
I have never heard of Pixieland, but it is now on my to do list if we ever get to Dartmoor. Which I really want to do as it’s such a beautiful part of the country! Great photos of a lovely (and cheap!) day out! #CountryKids
