I wrote a post back in 2015 called New Ways To Save and Make Money This Year; it was pretty popular so I thought I’d create a new one with how I plan to make money in 2017. I’ve been working so hard this year and I really want to see a significant increase in my earnings next year, otherwise what’s the point right?
Sometimes if feels like a lot of my efforts have gone to waste this last year so in 2017 for me it’s all about staying focused or as the other half would say “working smarter not harder”.
Make Money in 2017
Increase Affiliate Earnings on my Blog
Next year I plan to focus most of my attention towards increasing my affiliate income on my blog. I recently purchased the *Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Course by Michelle Schroeder-Gardner. She is a blogger and last month she earnt $106,383.89 from her blog and no that is not a typo!
Since completing her course I have already made my first affiliate related earnings and it’s growing everyday. It is literally the best thing I have purchased that is blogging related. I’m really excited to implement everything that I have learnt onto my blog and start earning a passive income.
Intrigued? Find out more about Michelle’s *affiliate marketing course and watch out for my full review of the course coming soon!

Continue to use Cash Back Sites
Cashback sites are a great way of earning a bit of extra cash. I personally use *Kidstart every time I shop and the money I make back goes into an account for my children.
If you’d like to find out more about using Kidstart please read my How to use Kidstart for Free Cash Back post.
Sell Unwanted Goods
I’m still on my ‘we will live minimalistically’ mission and I have now got rid of over 75% of our unwanted stuff. Some items I have sold on sites such as Ebay, Gumtree or Shpock and others I have given to friends or donated to charity. I swear with every bag that goes out of the door I feel a little bit of stress leave with it.
Fun Fact: There was a study conducted at UCLA that determined that women who have more stuff in their homes also have higher stress levels.
Continue to use Online Survey Sites
There are lots of online survey sites out there that will pay you to do certain things like complete a survey, watch a video and click on an email. The one I use the most often is *InboxPounds.
It’s free to sign up and very simple to use. As an added bonus you get £1 put into your account just for joining.
Apply for More Freelance Writing Jobs
I have done some freelance writing in the past but I believe I could do more if I put my mind to it. I plan to actively seek out new freelance & guest posting opportunities.
Continue to Get Paid for Social Media Sharing
I use a great company called *LINKILIKE where they pay you to share content on your social media channels. It’s free to sign up and very easy to use.
