I am constantly on the lookout for ways to save money as well as make some extra money on the side.  A really easy way of making extra cash is by using a free cash back site whenever you shop online.

Free Cash Back

Cashback sites aren’t a new thing, in fact, they have been around for quite some time now. There is a whole host of different sites to choose from but the one we use on a regular basis is *Kidstart.

What is Kidstart?

Kistart is a free cash back site specially designed for parents. It can help you to put money away for their future without you having to dip into your own pocket.

How Does it Work?

Every time you shop online if you use Kidstart you will get a percentage of cash back into your account.

The rates vary depending on where you are shopping for example at the moment if you shop at Argos you get 1% Kidstart saving whereas if you shop at Debenhams Flowers you get 5% savings. These rates change constantly so it’s good to keep an eye out for when your favourite places are high.

My Experience of Using Kidstart

I first started using *Kidstart just after we had our first child. Before I bought anything online I would go onto the Kidstart website and shop from there. I then got money back every time I shopped.

The problem I used to have when I first started using the site was remembering to go to the Kidstart website BEFORE I shopped but I have since installed the saving prompts feature onto my toolbar which has resolved this issue. It’s free and easy to install. I would highly recommend you install this to maximize your cashback opportunities.

The savings prompt works by reminding you that you can get free cash back with Kidstart. “Members using the Savings Prompt save as much as 4x as members who do not.”

How Much Can You Make?

How much you make back is dependent on how much you shop. We personally aren’t huge shoppers so we only make a little bit here and there but it all adds up. We do however always make sure to use it at Christmas when we do a lot of shopping in one go! If you are big shoppers you could be getting quite a significant amount back.

This is what we made in about two months but as I said we aren’t huge shoppers. Most of ours came from Just Eat! Every time we get a Just Eat takeaway we make sure we are using Kidstart and get cash back from it.

How To Maximise your Cash Back

You have the potential to earn large sums of cash back if you use Kidstart for bigger purchases such as holidays, car insurance and finance deals. You can even use Kidstart for your weekly food shop.

You also have the ability to invite your extended family to save for your children too. By doing this you can earn on average twice as much money back as those who haven’t. I’ve invited our kiddies Grandparents to use the site.

You can make even more money by referring friends and family to the site. For every referral you make using your affiliate link you can currently earn an extra £5 into your account.
