This year Matalan have teamed up again with the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital charity.
Who is Alder Hey?
Alder Hey raises vital funds for everything from life-saving medical equipment to the development of the next generation of medicines. Every year they care for over 270,000 children, young people and their families.
How the Partnership between Matalan and Alder Hey Works?
Every year Matalan release a product where all of the profits go directly to Alder Hey. Last year the campaign generated £638,000 for the charity by selling scarves. This year Matalan have already raised over £1.3 million so far for the charity. They are selling funky Christmas pyjamas & acessories and like last year 100% of the profits from sales from the #GetYourStripes product goes directly to Alder Hey.
There are a whole host of celebrities getting behind the campaign this year including Anna Friel, Alesha Dixon and George & Larry Lamb.
How to Buy your Pajamas?
You can either buy your pyjamas & accessories instore or online on the Matalan website. The adult pajamas cost £10.00 and the children’s cost £8.00 which I think is very reasonable especially when you know that all of the money is going to charity. As well as the pajamas they also have baby grows, dog outfits, socks and mugs.
If you do buy some of the pyjamas remember to share your pictures on social media using the hashtag #GetYourStripes to help raise awareness of this great campaign.
This year Matalan are accompanying the campaign with an online hub dedicated to Christmas hacks; helping people to save time at Christmas. They have a whole range of great information including videos, tips and advice from Christmas Eve preparations to how to wrap an awkward gift. There is lots of great information available on there so certainly worth a look. Check out my quick home christmas decor tips too.
