I’m not a huge shopper, we are an incredibly thrifty family and never buy anything without researching the cheapest place to buy first. We also try to live a minimalistic life so only ever buy something if we really need it.
I thought I’d share some of the places that we do buy products and would highly recommend. I’ve split the page into different categories depending on what you are after.
There are some *affiliate links below, but these are all products I highly recommend. I never promote anything that I haven’t verified and/or personally used
Here are some of my favourite products and websites that make my life easier…

Blogging Tools & Programs
Since I started blogging over 5 years ago I have tried and tested various products, tools and companies. Some have been good, some have been bad and some have just been plain weird. One of the best bits of blogging is you never know what you are going to be doing next. I generally get excited every time I open my emails.
PicMonkey is an online photo editing and graphic design tool. I personally use *PicMonkey for all of my photos. It’s really simple to use and has some great effects on it.
It’s a free-to-try website but you’ll need to start a free trial in order to save your designs to Hub, create custom effects, and share and export your work.
Buy Images for your Website or Blog
There are lots of free sites where you can get images for your website or blog such as Pixabay and Unsplash. However, these only have a limited amount of free images.
If you are looking to buy images then I’d highly recommend *Picfair. It’s a community of over 20,000 photographers from 130 countries worldwide and counting. Unlike other leading image buying companies, you have the option to license what you want. You don’t have to pay a monthly subscription. You simply pay as you go.
iPage is a website hosting company. I use *iPage for all of my websites and blogs. I find their customer service fantastic. I’m not great with the technical aspects of blogging and if I ever have an issue they have always helped me out.
They are very reasonably priced; prices start from just £1.50 per month for hosting. I have been with iPage for 4 years now and wouldn’t use anyone else. If you are interested in starting your own blog take a look at my Start a Blog page.
Filmora by Wondershare is a video editing programme. I use *Filmora to create and edit all of my videos. It’s really easy to use and has some great effects that you can add to your videos. You also have the ability to download more effects.
Filmora works on both Windows and Mac. You can either purchase a 1 Year License to test and make sure you like the programme or you can purchase a Lifetime License.

Beginners to email marketing can create a free account which allows you to have up to 2000 subscribers. Once you have more than 2000 you can upgrade to their pro account. I use MailChimp to send out my monthly newsletter and also my ‘Blogging for Beginners’ eCourse.
StudioPress have hundreds of premium *StudioPress Themes for WordPress and plugins to make your blog look great! Quickly and easily build an amazing website now.
When you’re blog starts to take off you may want to get some business cards made. Personally, I would highly recommend *moo.com I use them for my cards and love them!

Money Saving Sites
Groupon is a deals and coupon site. I use *Groupon UK a lot, mainly for holidays, courses and shopping. I recently used it to buy an advanced social media course and also my holiday to Budapest.
It’s free to sign up and has a function where you can find local deals to you. They have vouchers and deals for hundreds of different things including Food & Drink, Things To Do, Beauty & Spas and Women’s Fashion. I never buy anything online these days without first checking to see if there is a deal on Groupon.
Kidstart is an online cashback site that works with hundreds of top brands including John Lewis, Argos and Mothercare. It’s free to join and every time you buy through Kidstart you get money back on your shop. Each retailer offers a different cash back amount. I use *Kidstart before I buy anything online and most of our cashback comes from Just Eat.
Zeek is a free app where you can buy or sell unwanted shopping vouchers. It’s really easy to use. I regularly use *Zeek before I shop and as a bonus, if you use my link to sign up you’ll get a £5 discount.
