I’m currently in the process of switching from disposable sanitary pads to reusable ones. If you scroll to the bottom of this post you’ll find links to my experiences so far. As I got on so well testing my first reusable night time pad I decided to try some daytime pads as well.

Cloth Pads

To start off my switching to reusable cloth pads rather than disposable journey I opted to try a night pad first. I thought this would be the best way to trial one without having to wear it out anywhere in case I didn’t get on with it.

Reuse & Zero Waste Week

Zero Waste Week

In case you don’t already know this week is Zero Waste Week. This is my 2nd year of joining in and it always gets me thinking about how we can reduce, reuse and also save money. Thrifty Thursday – Homemade Veg Stock

This week I have started saving up all of our vegetable peelings and storing them in the freezer. My plan is to make homemade vegetable stock with them. I’m going to wait until I have a load of peelings, make up a big batch and them freeze them into portions in my ice cube trays like I did before with my homemade chicken stock. Upcycling An Old Tea Chest

This month I have been taking part in the Rustoleum Make It March challenge. We were tasked with finding an old piece of furniture and upcycling it. I originally wanted to find two bedside drawers for our bedroom makeover but I was unable to find anything suitable. Instead I managed to find an old tea chest that was in serious need of some TLC. Continue reading “Upcycling An Old Tea Chest”
