Thrifty Thursday – Community RePaint

Recently I came across this fantastic organisation that collect unwanted, surplus paint and re-distribute it to individuals, families and communities in need. I think it’s a fantastic idea as not only does it help to keep waste paint levels down but it also helps people in need too.

I’ve included a bit of information for you to take a look at…

What is Community RePaint?

The Community RePaint schemes collect unwanted, surplus paint and re-distribute it to individuals, families, and communities in need, improving the well-being of people and the appearance of places across the UK. In doing so the Community RePaint network provides social, environmental and economic benefits. The network is managed by Resource Futures, an employee-owned, non-profit-distributing environmental consultancy, based in Bristol.

How does Community RePaint work?

Paint is sorted and stored at the schemes’ premises and re-distributed to local charities, community and voluntary groups and individuals in social need. Paint is usually offered at a low cost of up to £2 per litre.

    1. It’s a brilliant idea! It makes me sick the amount of things that go to landfill that could easily be reused or upcycled. We need more schemes like this 🙂

    1. It’s great isn’t it. Thanks for linking up again, love your food posts. I made your enchiladas last week. They tasted great 🙂

I'd love to know what you think...
