Thrifty Thursday – Foraging Fun

This week’s Thrifty Thursday is going to be a quick one from me as we are still on holiday and finding anywhere with internet is proving to be a bit of a challenge.

We are away in our caravan with friends and the sun is shining so all is good here. I’m currently sat in the soft play area of the campsite while the kiddies run riot around me. Everyone has had a lovely time so far and we even managed to squeeze in a bit of foraging fun…

Foraging fun

There is a massive blackberry bush right by our pitch so the kiddies keep disappearing for a bit and coming back with purple juice all around their faces. Hmmm, wonder what they have been up to? We have a constant supply of blackberries here so the kiddies have been enjoying them mixed with yoghurt for their pudding.

The best blackberries that we have found so far though were in Asda car park of all places although we did get some strange looks from fellow shoppers as we stopped to pick some fruit.

I can’t wait to read your thrifty posts for the week.

  1. I’ve seen a few road-side foragers over the last week or so, so I’m guessing it’s prime time?! I have fond blackberry picking memories from my childhood, so no doubt we’ll get in on it soon 🙂 Have linked up, thanks for hosting x

    1. Hi Helen, thanks for joining in. We used them in a smoothie tonight for the kiddies pudding, mixed with apricots, kiwi and Greek yoghurt. They loved them. 🙂

I'd love to know what you think...
