With the countdown to Christmas upon us the other half and I have been having a mammoth sort out this week, clearing and getting rid of all of the extra stuff that we seem to have accumulated over the past year that has no real purpose or function.
Yesterday we sold all of our old DVD’s and managed to get £75 for them! That’s a few more Christmas presents paid for. We also managed to clear and cut back the amazon of a garden that we have, you can now actually see our house again now we’ve cut back all of the wisteria!
Today my mission is clearing out our wardrobes and getting rid of anything that we don’t wear or no longer fits. Normally I would just bung it all in bags and give it to a local charity shop but this year, however, I thought I would see if I can actually get some money back for them all.
Make Money from your Unwanted Clothes
In the past, I have used online selling sites but we haven’t really had much luck with them so I hunted around for something different and that’s when I came across *musicMagpie, (who I previously thought only bought DVD’s and Cd’s but I found out that they also buy clothes). It’s got to be worth a go!
‘musicMagpie.co.uk allows you to get CASH for your unwanted clothes as well as your other unwanted CDs, DVDs, Games, Tech & Electronics’.
So my aim today is to clear out all the wardrobes and list them all on the musicMagpie site. Wish me luck!
Check back soon to see how I get on.
P.S. If any of you use the site I’d love to know what you think about it.
Thrifty Thursday
Thrifty Thursday is a place to share your thrifty posts. It doesn’t matter if they are old or new and can be about anything to do with saving money and being thrifty. Whether it be a post on cutting back on your food shop or your latest thrifty find link it up, I’d love to see it.
I have also started a Thrifty Thursday board on Pinterest and I will be pinning any entries onto it each week so more people get to see your great posts.

I did not know that. I’ve used Music Magpie in the past for games, DVDS and CDs, but didn’t know they did this now – thanks for letting me know as I’ve been meaning to have a clear-out for ages!
I didn’t know either but now we do. Going to sort through our wardrobes tomorrow and start listing things 🙂
