Thrifty Thursday – May 2016

I’m currently sat here trying to think what I have done over the last month to be thrifty and the answer to that is nothing really that significant other than the normal monthly thrifty things we do. I did manage to get some more school uniform bits for the kiddies at the second hand uniform sale which saved me around £60 which I’m pleased about. We’ve been using up our leftovers to save on our weekly food shop but we do that every week.

I’m still determined to make some gorse cordial or perhaps even wine, we have all of the equipment in our garage I just haven’t found the time to get on and do it. My foraged wild garlic pesto went down well with the kiddies, they especially like it cooked with pasta as it takes the heat out of the garlic.

That’s about it really, what have you been up to?

Thrifty Thursday is a monthly linky and a place to share your thrifty posts. It doesn’t matter if they are old or new and can be about anything to do with saving money and being thrifty. Whether it be a post on cutting back on your food shop or your latest thrifty find link it up, I’d love to see it.

To read more about the linky please visit my Thrifty Thursday page.
