I took the kiddies out again today for another foraging outing to see if we could actually come home with something this time!
On this adventure we made some new friends…
We also found this great little food stall just down the road from us. We bought a big bag of runner beans for £1 and had them with our dinner. They were really tasty.
At least this time Lowenna chose a slightly more practical foraging outfit although we did still have to accessorize with a sparkly handbag filled with plastic food!
Unlike our first foraging trip out we did come home with some bits this time…
These apples actually game from my friends garden that I stopped at along the way and I did get her permission before we nicked them, honest.
We also got these…
So can you guess what we made today? Well I say we but it was the other half who actually made it so I can’t really take credit for it.
Foraged Blackberry & Apple Crumble
We have just had some for dinner and it was lovely. Keep an eye out for the recipe coming soon.
I’m joining in with Country Kids over at Coombe Mill
Well done for managing to get some home this time! The crumble looks delicious and I love the fact that LJ went picking with a sparkly handbag – so cute. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
I’ll be looking out for the recipe – this is my favourite crumble
