The worst thing about your child having eczema is the pain and discomfort that it causes them. Our son had eczema pretty much from the day he was born. Some days were worse than others and there never seemed to be any reason as to why he had a flare up.
We had numerous visits to the doctors and tried an array of different creams, lotions and potions. Nothing seemed to work! Then a friend recommended that I try Aveeno. I’d never heard of it before but by that stage, I was willing to give anything a go.
Aveeno
‘Aveeno products are formulated with naturally active ingredients to provide real skincare benefits.’
I took my friends advice and used the moisturising lotion and I’ve never looked back since! It is literally the only thing that worked for both mine and my son’s eczema.
Luckily our son seems to have now outgrown his eczema, only ever having little flare ups every now and again which I manage with the lotion. I use it more for myself these days, since having children I appear to suffer again, having not had it since I was a child. I’ve decided mine is stress related but again I manage it with the Aveeno lotion.
If you visit the Aveeno website at the moment they are celebrating the launch of Spring by launching the second in their children’s eBook series – “The Dry-ventures of Ellie and Eddie… Happy Skin Holidays.”
The eBook is available to download here. It’s a great way of getting your kids involved in the effective management of their dry skin problems.
If you are looking for a genuine case of a product that actually works on eczema then you have just read it. It may not work for everyone but it definitely works for us.
I was given a sample of Aveeno and tried on my son – it really is great at keeping his eczema at bay. It was so good I bought some more, and also bought the hand cream for myself as I have quite bad eczema (but only on two fingers of one hand!) and it’s one of the only creams I’ve tried that has had a real effect.
Glad to hear it works for your too. It is a great product 🙂
We love Aveeno here too. It cured my daughters dry spots on her face caused by wind. No more pimples on my 5 yr old. 🙂
It seems to work for a lot of people which is great!
My son’s eczema is awful at the moment, I really think we need to try Aveeno as nothing else has worked so far. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
I’d definitely give it a go Kate. It worked for us 🙂
I will try it too because everything else I’m triying is not helping at all. Where can I get it in cape town?
