My ongoing tea obsession is still going strong and I love trying out new flavours. The most recent brand I have been trying is Jadu Tea.
Who are Jadu Tea?
They are an online luxury tea brand and they have won awards in the Great Taste awards 2015.
Jadu is an ancient Sanskrit word that means ‘magic’ and they say that their mission is…
‘to conjure a little magic through the exploration of the enchanting and spellbinding world of tea.’
Jadu Tea offer high quality, luxury gifts teas perfect for any last minute Christmas presents.
The teas arrive in these air tight sachets, as pictured below, so you know they are really fresh.
or alternatively if you are buying the tea as a gift for someone you can choose to have them in the Jadu Box.
Jadu Box
A lovely little posh gift box made from blue royal suede and embossed in gold. Mine takes pride of place on my tea cabinet.
Here are the teas that I have tried so far…
White Mango Lime
One of my favourites out of all the teas I have tried from Jadu Teas is the white mango lime. It smells heavenly and tastes just as good. I would describe it as a fruity flavour.
It’s a white tea which is known for being full of antioxidants. I’ve also heard it said that it can help to prevent cancer.
Ingredients
Chinese white tea, Hibiscus, Pineapple pieces, Corinths, Lime leaves, Papaya pieces, Sugar, Sunflower petals, Flavour
Rooibos Creme Brulee
The next tea I tried was the Rooibos Creme Brulee which also smells divine. You can smell the caramel straight away. This tea is based on Rooibos which is a South African herb. This tea taste great with or without milk.
Ingredients
Rooibos, Cinnamon, Caramel pieces (Sugar, Inverted Sugar), Hazelnut pieces, Calendula petals, Flavour. Obviously this one contains nuts so not suitable for anyone with a nut allergy.
Spa Afternoon
Spa Afternoon is an oolong tea designed to cleanse and purify. It’s also believed to boost metabolism and to contain polyphenols which increase fat oxidation.
Take a big whiff and you are instantly hit with the smell of spearmint which I think is very refreshing. I’m personally going to save this tea for the morning after a night of overindulgence as it has milk thistle in which is suppose to do wonders for your liver.
Ingredients
Spearmint, Chinese Ti Guan Yin oolong tea, Nettle, Dandelion, Burdock, Milk Thistle
China Green
China Green is a full bodied green tea. Green tea is renowned for being full of antioxidants and to aid in weight loss by helping to increase your metabolism. I drink Green Tea everyday without fail and this one is definitely up there as one of my favourites.
Ingredients
Chinese green tea
Mademoiselle Grey
As well as loose leaf tea Jadu Tea also do tea in bags. This is their Mademoiselle Grey which is their take on Earl Grey. They have used Sri Lankan Uva black tea as a base.
This tea has won a star in the Great Taste Awards 2015.
Ingredients
Sri Lankan black tea, Lemon peel, Orange peel, Lemongrass, Red Cornflowers, Flavour
What I Love About Jadu Tea
- The smells
- The taste
- The appearance
- The posh gift boxes
- The quality of the ingredients
These teas definitely aren’t the cheapest out there but they are a luxury brand so you’d expect to pay more for them. They are perfect for when you feel you need a treat or to give as a gift to fellow tea lovers. I’d definitely recommend trying the teas for yourself.
