The Event!
Princesshay’s City Bee Project
The event started up on the rooftops to have a look at the Princesshay Bees. The project has achieved a massive 90% success rate with it’s Queen Bee rearing programme. The project first began in 2012 as part of an environmental initiative.
There is currently 5 hives with approximately 100,000 bees.
You can find out more about the Bees on the Princesshay website.
The Food
We sampled a variety of different dishes all from a selection of restaurants within Princesshay. There was so much food!
They had informed us beforehand to turn up hungry but I hadn’t quite anticipated how much food would there was going to be. It just kept coming!
I really should have reconsidered what I wore, something with a bit more give would have been appropriate.
Yo! Sushi Class
We were even treated to a mini sushi making class by Yo! Sushi.
I had a really lovely time at the event, it was great to see what the restaurants in Princesshay had to offer. I came back very fat and full! Needless to say I didn’t need supper that night.
Tasting Stations
This August, tasting stations will pop up in Princesshay for visitors to sample a taste of summer from Princesshay’s cafes and restaurants*. From pan Asian tastes at Wagamama and Japanese delights from YO! Sushi, modern European dishes from Jamie’s Italian, Café Rouge and Carluccio’s or a proper burger from Byron, Princesshay is the place to dine this summer.
