Thrifty Thursday – ReFurnish Charity

Today, completely by chance, I found a fantastic shop called ReFurnish. They are a registered charity and sell 2nd hand furniture, amongst other bits.

refurnish

Refurnish Devon has started its own furniture and appliance re-use projects called ReFURNISH to collect reusable items for resale at low cost to people in Teignbridge, Torbay and South Hams.

There are 6 of these stores in Devon altogether in Newton Abbot, Buckfastleigh, Ivybridge, Paignton, Tavistock and Totnes.

They had some great bits in there including wardrobes, beds, washing machines and computer games. I managed to find a great bargain for Henry’s upcoming birthday…

The entire set only cost me £10, which I thought was a right bargain. We were going to get him a set for his birthday anyway so I was really pleased that I found it. Now I just have to find him a racing game to go with the wheel.

That’s my thrifty find for the week and now it’s your turn…

Thrifty Thursday

Thrifty ThursdayThrifty Thursday is a place to share your thrifty posts. It doesn’t matter if they are old or new and can be about anything to do with saving money and being thrifty. Whether it be a post on cutting back on your food shop or your latest thrifty find link it up, I’d love to see it.

I have also started a Thrifty Thursday board on Pinterest and I will be pinning any entries onto it each week so more people get to see your great posts.

  1. Brilliant find. I hate shopping, but love charity shop shopping. We recently got a bargain-a-lishous high backed chair and 2 seater settee for £30 from a local charity shop! I am sanding it down and aim to recover it. I’l link it in when I’m done 🙂

I'd love to know what you think...
