We went out last night for an adult only evening, not a fruit shoot or chicken nugget in sight. It was great, don’t get me wrong I love my kiddies to bits, however when we do get the rare opportunity to get out minus children we do enjoy ourselves.

Infact I may have enjoyed myself a bit too much, as I feel a little peaky this morning.
Gone are the days when you could wallow in your own self pity in bed all day and the worst thing is having to change that first morning nappy. Yuck.
When I feel a little ‘under the weather’ in the morning I have 5 things I do to make myself feel better and I thought I’d share them with you.

Vitamin C Supplements

After a night of overindulgence the first thing I do upon waking is drink a vitamin c supplement. You simply pop one tablet in water, stir and drink. There are lots of different types available. There are big brands such as Berocca or you can usually find supermarket equivalents for less money.

Bananas

Once I have had my vitamin c hit I usually have a banana. Apparently they can increase your serotonin levels which helps you to feel better.

If when I wake up I have a headache I have some dioralyte. They are rehydration salts & helps replace lost body fluids.

A Shower

A nice hot shower makes you feel fresher and slightly more human.

Water

One of the easiest cures for hangovers is simple water. I normally carry a water bottle around with me the next day and take little sips throughout the day.
