This Christmas I have been trying to be more mindful of where I’m buying my gifts from and where possible I’ve been buying local. Recently I was introduced to a company called Wildmoor.
Who Is Wildmoor?
Wildmoor is a deli based in Bovey Tracey, Devon that focuses on local producers, the best of Britain & the world. With a passion for artisan food & cheese.
They are specialist wine & cheesemongers.
The deli is filled to the brim with edible goodies. They sell a whole range of products including bread, cheese, alcohol, tea, olives the list goes on!
I was especially impressed by their refillable oils & vinegar section. Perfect for any local zero wasters out there. They also have an olive bar which would also be great for zero waste.

Perfectly Paired Wine & Cheese
Wildmoor have a fantastic selection of perfectly paired wine & cheese boxes which you can have delivered to your door. The boxes make great gifts for friends and loved ones. Each box is filled with tasty goodies including wine, cheese and accompaniments.
We were sent the Makanyane box. What I love about these boxes is that each one has a story behind it. The Makanyane box is in celebration of the African’s chef Baobab Chilli Jam. This condiment was created by Malcolm whilst he was drinking Pinotage, eating cheddar and thinking about all of the South African recipes that he could bring back to the UK. It’s named after the Tswana word for African wild dogs.
Inside our box we had…
- Wine: 2015 Backsberg Pinotage
- Cheese: 250g Snowdonia Black Bomber mini truckle
- Accompaniments: Baobab Chilli Jam & Stag Water Biscuits
The box arrived wrapped in brown paper with the Wildmoor logo on it. The boxes themselves are made from wood and could be kept afterwards for storing things, perhaps more wine. Or they could be regifted to someone next year.
Personally, If I was giving one as a gift I wouldn’t put wrapping paper over the top of the brown paper as I think it looks nice as it is. Maybe just add a bow?
The boxes really are lovely and make a great gift! I would definitely recommend this product to you. Don’t worry if you don’t live in Devon as you can order the boxes online.
To find out more about Wildmoor and their range of gift boxes visit their website. If you live near to Bovey Tracey then why not pop in? They have some great wine tasting evenings and a cafe in the daytime in their cafe & wine courtyard.
Would you consider buying a perfectly paired wine & cheese box?
Disclosure: We were gifted one of these boxes for this review. As always, I’m honest in all of my reviews and never recommend a product that I don’t love or use myself.
