Garden After

Big Design Plans for Our New Garden

We moved into our brand new home 2 years ago and it has taken us that long just to get the inside looking remotely how we’d like it. It’s hard with a brand new house as you literally have to start from scratch; there are no curtain poles, no toilet roll holders, there wasn’t even any shelves in the airing cupboard. Money that I would have preferred to spend on the nice decorative bits like new mirrors, wallpaper and lamps initially all went on the boring bits, I mean how excited can you get about a toilet roll holder?

Now we have got most of the internal decorating out of the way I now plan to focus on the garden. Ideally we’d like a multi purpose space which we can all enjoy. The adults need space for outside entertaining, the kiddies need an area for their trampoline and the dog also needs an area to do his business! I also like to

Bathroom tiles

Tips for Tiling your Bathroom on a Budget

If your bathroom is in need of some serious TLC, it doesn’t have to cost a lot. We have the top budget busting tips that will allow you to tile your bathroom for very little damage to your bank account.

Pick a classic design

Try and pick a style or design that will not become dated very quickly. Look back at past trends to find ones that have stood the test of time. A really wacky design might be on trend now, but is likely to need replacing after a few years, wasting both time and money. Think about it carefully, and pick a design that you like and will not get bored with. Monochrome, and classic greys look both classy, and are simply timeless.Read More »Tips for Tiling your Bathroom on a Budget

I always like to search around for the best deals for anything I buy including home accessories and decorating products.Read More »Industrial Vintage Kitchen Design

When you actually start to take note of how much waste your family produces on a daily, weekly and monthly basis I think you’d be shocked by what you saw.

Devon Santa Search – Clovelly Village

Last weekend we took part in the Devon Santa Search. The first place we visited was Dartington Crystal Visitors Centre and the second place was Clovelly Village.

I have never been to Clovelly before but it has been on my ‘to visit list’ for a while now so I was really excited to finally be going there.

Clovelly Village

Clovelly is a village set on the side of a hill on the North Devon coast, sounds like a lot of other villages in Devon however Clovelly is a little different.  What is really unique about the village is that the whole place is a tourist attraction and you have to pay to enter.
